Job Title:

Extension Service Technician

Requirements:

i. Diploma Degree in Agriculture,

ii. Relevant Work Experience in extension service provision, farming activities and rural development activities in general,

iii. Residence in the district and knowledge of the context of the district (Barué),

iv. Capacity to communicate in local language

v. Actual and relevant experience and understanding of agricultural extension tools is fundamental for the position,

vi. Availability to star work in March 14, 2022.

vii.  Valid Driving License for 125cc Motorbike is a precondition to apply.

Key Tasks:

i. Provide on-the-job and hands-on (on farm) training to the Small Commercial Farmers and Organized groups of Smallholder Farmers in best agronomical practices,

ii.  Assist the farmers to implement the Technology Packages promoted in the project, particularly in the process of running the Demo Plots and,

iii. Assist Small Commercial Farmers in their interaction with the Smallholder Farmers in their supply groups,

iv. Assist farmers to adopt and implement after harvest and food conservation best practices,

v. Capacitate farmers to respond to market product specifications,

vi. Organize farmers to better access existing markets,

vii. Ensure the implementation of project activities within the context of cross-cutting issues not under other team member’s responsibility.
