The Mobility & Business Readiness Support Specialist is responsible for analyzing the impacts that new programmes, projects and initiatives from different functions can create to the business and Sasol’s stakeholders in Mozambique and for creating and recommending the necessary procedures and approaches that are required to govern the related processes. This role will sit in the Corporate Affairs Function, which is part of the Mozambique Country Management team and will engage with various teams at national and international level. This includes project managers, business analysts, business teams and senior business stakeholders all the way up to leadership level.

 

Required outputs: Functional

Working with other functions and projects teams and a wide range of senior business stakeholders, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of the change roadmap, the planned implementations and the impacts of projects or programmes on business teams and external stakeholders;
  • Understanding the aggregate impact that programmes, projects and initiatives create for business teams and working with representatives from each team to determine the level of risk this creates and agree on the subsequent mitigating actions ensuring that they are completed effectively.
  • Developing a detailed understanding of business readiness activities that are being performed across those initiatives that have upcoming implementations, ensuring that they are compliant to the country requirements and legislation.
  • Ensure that that businesses structures and processes/procedures are put in place, coordinated, documented and governed – such as supply chain, business tax structures, financial, legal contracts, internal contracts, security, housing impacts and requirements
  • Regular reporting on progress, project management and oversight of the requirements from the projects
  • Provide support on Mobility policies, procedures and processes and provide governance of all entry requirements for Sasol employees and contractors to projects.
  • Establish business processes to ensure mobility procedures are complied to by all functions and projects.
  • Liaise with project teams and the relevant government entities in the management of work permit applications or other licenses required by law.
  • Ensure proper monitoring, overall country governance and reporting process in place for permit and other mobility processes that will facilitate government engagements and execution of assumed commitments.
  • Provide specialty advice to management and project teams with regards to employee secondments, visas, work permits and map out all mobility processes.
  • Ensure local onboarding programme is in place for Sasol employees visiting Mozambique. Communicate with applicants, provide them with necessary information and documentation and paperwork.
  • Audit adherence to applicable work permits for contracted expatriates working in Sasol’s projects in Mozambique.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders, managers, relevant departments, and other relevant external stakeholders to identify, plan, and support business’s needs and objectives.

 

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Appropriate University Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the fields of mobility or business readiness.
  • To be successful in this job you need to already be able to do or have most of the following:
  • Lead business readiness activities either for multiple complex, organisation wide programmes or at portfolio/organisation level.
  • Experience of stakeholder management on complex/sensitive programmes and have successfully impacted peers/others in order to gain buy-in to enable change to happen through others.
  • Great communications skills (both verbal and written) with the inherent ability to inspire and motivate project teams to comply with the country requirements.
  • Advanced computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office products- Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Be Multi-lingual in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Work within deadlines and execute in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to manage multiple, high-profile projects at the same time and be flexible to work extended hours.
