Role purpose:

To run tests at the user level, both manually and with automated tools. Collaborate with Software Developers and Business Owners to understand business requirements and technical implementation of features.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

• Write, capture and execute test cases as part of user story completion (either manual or automated as appropriate)
• Work closely with developers to understand the impact of testing needed
• Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders (business owners, business analysts and technical teams) to collect and understand business and technical requirements
• Provide detailed status reports for a wide range of stakeholders
• Bug triage and defect tracking

Core competencies, knowledge and experience:

• Experience with software development processes and practices
• Experience in Agile, Scrum, Kanban and/or Lean software development methodologies.
• Experience with QA methodology (test generation, planning and strategy and tools for test automation
• Comfortable working in a fast pace, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment

Must have technical / professional qualifications:

• Degree in IT or related field (essential);
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in end to end software and/or user acceptance testing
