The Role: Processing Plant Engineer.

Reporting line: HOD Process Plant

SUMMARY:

The Processing Plant Engineer shall be an expert with proven experience to apply his knowledge and skills to operate, monitor and control the complete processing plant operation during the shift. The Processing Plant Engineer wll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the plant to achieve the business plan targets and utilize his skills to develop the sub-ordinate staff. He will be the shift in-charge, to lead the complete plant shift team and will be responsible for all activities related to the operation with compliance to defined safety and environmental procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following (other duties may be assigned):

1. Responsible for all the operation related activities in the shift to achieve the business plan targets.

2. Demonstrate high commitment to safety and ensure strong compliance to Safety and Environmental management system by shift teams.

3. Ensure Safety and Environmental incidents are Immediately reported, immediately controlled, and appropriately escalated to relevant Superintendents & Engineer.

4. Drive the site equipment, people, and processes to maximize production.

5. Monitor and control all plant parameters to achieve required throughput, recovery, and product quality.

6. Coordinate real time plant feed rate and ore quality with plant shift team.

7. Ensure equipment is operated within defined operating strategies and procedures.

8. Ensure high utilization of the plant.

9. Controlling material movement, HEMM allocation and its monitoring and reporting.

10. Active involvement in major plant shutdowns, maintenance activities and start-ups.

11. Direct the shift maintenance Mechanics on maintenance priority and troubleshoot the bottlenecks.

13. Always be contactable when on shift and be able to report detailed plant performance status.

14. Conduct detailed handovers; Provide detailed shift performance reports.

15. Comply with the country culture.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES:

1. Must be a Mineral/ Chemica/Mechanical Engineer with relevant experience.

2. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

3. A self-starter with excellent leadership skills.

4. Ability to thrive in a broad, multi-national team witha mix of cultures and backgrounds.

5. Experience in administering Learning Ability tests.

6. Strong interpersonal skills.

7. Able to work under pressure.

8. Ability to manage a team and possess skills for conflict resolution and problem solving.

9. Highly energetic and disciplined.

10. Strong sense of responsibility and leadership.

11. Excellent computer skills including use of MS-Office and use of web applications.

12. Ability to write and speak Portuguese will be an extra advantage.
