SUMMARY:

To operatc, monitor and control the process plant within set operating parameters and procedures in order to meet production plan requirements and to advise for the required decision along the production process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following (other duties may be assigned):

1. Maintain and improve safety, health and environmental standards and practices.

2. To ensure that process equipment is set up and maintained and that relevant, correct operating procedures are developed as per predetermined processes and standards to achieve optimum control and outputs.

3. Direct the work of shift operators assigned to their relevant sections.

4. Perform fair and reasonable tasks related to the job and working environment, at the discretion of the supervisor.

5. Co-ordinate with the Shift Engineer/In-charge and the field staff to ensure safe and smooth opcration.

6. Optimal use of equipment.

7. Safe, healthy, environmentally work environment and practices.

8. Accurate and Quality Reporting.

9. Accurately completion and processing of production documentation.

10. Prompt action in case of emergencies.

11. Interdepartmental relationship/communication with other departments.

12. Prompt and thorough action with start-up, shutdowns, and downtimes.

13. Thorough shift hand over.

14. Familiarity with changes/instructions/modifications.

15. Plant and equipment knowledge.

16. Involvement and summarization with troubleshooting and problem solving.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS/ABILITIES:

Strong tram player and good interpersonal skill.
Superior sense of personal ownership, accountability and urgency.

Possess good analytical skills for identifying process shortfalls and equipment bottlenecks/limitations, and implementing corrective actions.
Have good verbal and written communication skills to facilitate accurate transfer of plant performance information in both upward and downward direction.

Be enthusiastic and Pro-active in manner.
Ability to work in a multi-cultural cnvironment.
Ability to speak Portuguese and English language is highly desirable.
