Infinix Social Media Manager

  • Department: Marketing
  • Reports to: Marketing Manager

Job Purpose

The Social Media Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the organization’s social media presence to enhance brand awareness, engage target audiences, and support business objectives in line with the local market environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies aligned with the company’s marketing and communication goals
  • Manage the organization’s social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, TikTok)
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging content (text, images, video)
  • Monitor comments, messages, and online interactions, responding in a timely and professional manner
  • Track performance using analytics tools and preparing periodic reports
  • Manage paid social media campaigns where applicable
  • Coordinate with designers, content creators, and other departments
  • Monitor social media trends, competitor activity, and audience preferences
  • Ensure brand consistency across all digital channels
  • Handle online reputation management and escalate sensitive issues when necessary

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Media Studies, or related field
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience managing social media accounts (corporate, agency or telecom experience is an advantage)
  • Demonstrated experience in content planning and campaign execution
  • Familiarity with social media management and analytics tools

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English; Portuguese is an advantage in Mozambique)
  • Creativity and strong content development skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Customer-focused approach and professionalism in online engagement

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with paid advertising on social platforms
  • Basic graphic design or video editing skills
  • Knowledge of digital marketing principles (SEO, online campaigns, etc.)
  • Understanding of the Mozambican market, culture, and consumer behavior

  • Duty station: Maputo
