Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Warehouse Manager role based in Matola. The Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods in a safe, efficient, and accurate manner. Responsibilities include organizing stock locations, supervising inventory counts, and ensuring proper documentation of all inventory movements. The role involves coordinating and guiding warehouse staff, allocating tasks, and monitoring performance to meet operational targets. The Warehouse Manager also ensures compliance with health, safety, and quality standards, manages the proper use and maintenance of equipment (including forklifts), and collaborates with procurement, logistics, and other internal teams to support timely order fulfillment.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Stock Control and Inventory Control to ensure accurate tracking, replenishment, and reporting of warehouse items.
- Proficiency in Inventory Management, including cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and use of warehouse or ERP systems.
- Experience in Operations Management to plan, organize, and optimize warehouse workflows, resources, and processes.
- Competence in Forklift Operation and handling of warehouse equipment, with a valid certification where required.
- Proven experience in warehouse or logistics management, preferably in a healthcare, pharma, or related regulated environment.
- Strong leadership, team supervision, and communication skills, with the ability to train, motivate, and develop staff.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Familiarity with health, safety, and quality standards for warehouse environments.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
