What you’ll do:
- Commitment to and promotion of Mecwide’s values and ensuring the realization of Company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and procedures;
- Manage Quality Control Technician Team;
- Develop and implement Project Quality Plan (PQP), project quality related procedures such as Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Work instructions, Procedures, etc…
- Ensure inspection procedures and requirements are complied with through surveillance and witnessed inspection;
- Review of Project Quality and approve for construction;
- Perform quality audits as required and vendor shop surveys when required;
- Mentor and provide guidance to project team on quality requirements to promote self-assessment of work activity and reduce reliance on inspection personnel to identify potential concerns;
- Perform Welding Engineering activities such as reviewing welding procedure specification (WPS) and qualification records (WPQR) to comply with relevant welding codes and standard such as ASME, EN Standards;
- Responsible for timely inspection and QC supervision during fabrication and installation, proactive in the prevention of non-compliance and problem resolution;
- Provide weekly input to the QAQC Manager reporting, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems;
- Provide early warning of potential quality problems to the project team and ensure non-conformances are identified, tracked, and closed;
- Preparation of the performance declaration in accordance with EN 1090-1;
- Compilation of quality documentation for issuing the Final Data Book to be sent to the client;
- Maintain updated records of QC activities and make them available at any time for the authorized representatives of the Client;
What you should have:
- Engineering Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial Engineering or Minimum 3 years working as QAQC in relevant companies;
- Familiar with international material standards, structure EN1090, pressure/process piping and vessel codes, NDT and welding procedures, ASME, API, EN codes;
- Knowledge and interpretation of building codes (e.g. API650; EN13480; ASME B31.3; EN1090, etc…);
- Welding construction (Knowledge of welding and cutting processes);
- ISO 9001 Integrated Systems Management;
- Master Microsoft Office include Excel And Words;
- Fluent Reading, Speaking and Writing in English and Portuguese;
- Good written skills, ability to present data in a clear and concise manner.
- Availability to work in Mozambique;
