Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for an Country Lead: Supply Chain Finance to join the CCBA Team.
CCBA is the eighth largest Coca-Cola authorized bottler in the world by revenue, and the largest on the continent. It accounts for over 40% of all Coca-Cola ready-to-drink beverages sold in Africa by volume. With over 14,000 employees in Africa, CCBA group services more than 800,000 customers with a host of international and local brands. CCBA group operates in 14 countries: South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi and the islands of Comoros and Mayotte.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Supply Chain Financial Management
- Aligning and Managing the Supply Chain financial strategy with corporate goals, performing as a trusted advisor involving leadership in comprehensive financial planning, rigorous financial analysis and governance, and insightful reporting and query resolution.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Supply Chain processes, routines, and components in country.
- Communicate corporate Financial function-related decisions, plans, and policies to the Supply Chain function.
- Use leadership and professional influence to position Supply Chain financial plans on the corporate and country Finance agenda, representing Supply Chain interests in annual planning forums and decision-making processes.
Financial Planning and Budgeting
- Own and compile the Supply Chain financial strategy, plan, and budgets.
- Understand short-, medium-, and long-term Supply Chain strategies; analyze past spending trends and industry predictions.
- Create fiscal plans to support Supply Chain strategy and prepare expenditure motivations.
- Communicate Group Supply Chain financial priorities and objectives to in-country counterparts.
- Recommend and propose strategies to optimize Supply Chain expenses.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain leadership to identify, review, and approve CAPEX and OPEX budget requirements, coordinating
- RFAs and providing feedback. Act as the financial subject matter expert for capability-building programs.
Financial Analysis and Governance
- Manage strategic financial initiatives and ensure services are handled by the Group Finance team.
- Perform cost analysis and financial modeling, advising the business on scenarios.
- Establish and implement governance frameworks for ethical financial management.
- Lead commercial benchmarking efforts, monitor departmental budgets, and track expenditures.
- Meet with leaders to discuss budgets, create forecasts, review utilization, and escalate unplanned expenses; participate in audits and coach managers on budget management.
Reporting, Insights, and Query Resolution
- Prepare and present financial reports, insights, and analytics for the Supply Chain function.
- Establish a regular reporting cadence and communicate an annual plan of financial reports.
- Design and formulate various types of reports and create templates and dashboards.
- Ensure timely completion of transactions, monthly closings, and data capturing for financial reports.
- Produce and collate required reports, perform high-level data analysis, and generate predictive insights.
- Present analytics and reports, raise red flags, make recommendations, and suggest alternative strategies.
- Answer and resolve queries from Supply Chain leaders, Group Finance colleagues, and senior business stakeholders.
- Meet with vendors and suppliers to resolve financial queries as requested.
- Communicate continuously with the Group Finance team to ensure alignment of processes and work practices

Experience:
- Degree in Business Management, Commerce with a major in accounting and/or Financial Management.
- CA qualification will be a strong advantage.
- 12 to 14 years’ experience in a corporate finance environment with at least 6 years focussed on financial management activities.
- Experience of finance management in a Supply Chain or FMCG
