TRANSPORTES LALGY IS HIRING: WHEEL LOADER OPERATOR – TETE

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The Wheel Loader Operator is responsible for maneuvering wheel loaders to move and load materials such as sand, gravel, coal,
waste, and others in construction sites, mining areas, and industrial operations. The professional must ensure efficiency and safety in operations, following established norms and procedures.

DETAILS OF POSITION:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate the wheel loader efficiently and safely to load, transport, and dump materials.
• Perform daily inspections on the machine, checking oil levels, fuel, hydraulic fluids, and the general condition of the equipment.
• Report any mechanical failures or operational problems to the immediate supervisor.
• Maintain records of operations, including work times, quantities of materials moved, and maintenance performed.
• Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Ensure efficient use of equipment, minimizing waste and downtime.
• Coordinate with other operators and support teams to optimize mining operations.
• Maintain accurate records of daily operational and maintenance activities.
• Complete production and incident reports as necessary.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in mining.
• Good motor coordination and manual skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in challenging environments.
• Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Responsibility and commitment to safety.
• Teamwork and effective communication.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and noisy work environments.
• Need to travel to remote areas depending on the mine’s location.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience operating wheel loaders in construction, mining, or industrial environments.
• Experience in open-pit mines is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical courses in heavy equipment operation or related areas are desirable.
• Valid certification for operating wheel loaders and other heavy equipment.
• Safety and first aid training are highly desirable.
