Coca – Cola Beverages Africa has an exciting vacancy of Distribution Manager at one of our Mozambique Bottlers – Matola Plant, leading producer of various flavors in Mozambique for the last 30 years. This is a manager position that reports directly to the Regional Logistics Manager. The incumbent will be responsible to manage the distribution team and department. To lead, develop, advise, and support the successful implementation of the Distribution strategy. To support the implementation of the business plans to deliver the strategic priorities of long-term growth opportunities by leveraging scale and building fundamental processes, systems, and people capabilities. This position requires engagement and partnership with stakeholders including customers, functional heads, and executive leadership. As such, this position must be able to effectively engage, negotiate, influence, and communicate to meet the business needs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop an effective Distribution strategy and business plan based on diagnosis, analysis, insight, expertise and distribution principles.
- Develop plans to optimise the operation by aligning resources to activity levels and meeting customer service needs to improve the overall distribution performance.
- Distribution Planning and Control with direct accountability for centralised logistics services
- Order management.
- Routing and scheduling
- Tracking
- Inventory deployment planning.
- Logistics control
- Managing the overall distribution budget and allocation of funds according to plan.
- Drive cost efficiencies and transformation through key strategic projects implementation.
- Conduct analysis of Key Performance Indicators and communicate these effectively.

Skills, Experience & Education
- B Comm. or related B Degree (Business Management, Logistics or Transport)
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in logistics industry
- Minimum of 5 years line management experience
- Experience in logistics and business software systems
- Additional experience and/or exposure in sales, warehouse or manufacturing
- Financial and business modelling experience
- Understanding of key business cost drivers
- Knowledge of logistics operations in large FMCG organisations
- Project management skills and experience
