Purpose of Job
The purpose of the role is to provide a continuous financial information input into financial and business decision-making at a strategic and tactical (transactional & operational) level, the completion of financial and management accounting reports and the day-to-day supervision of / and the execution of financial related activities within the management accounting environment.
Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities
Ensure correct cost allocation in the various plant operations cost code objects; Perform Month end closure journals and required steps to ensure adequate financial reporting; Execute various post month end reports such as but not limited to Plant Performance, Maintenance Report, Lifting costs, Recoveries; Provide timely insight to management on status of budget, Monthly actual reporting including variance analysis on a consolidated level as well as per individual cost owners; Budget and forecast process and reporting on a VP / Functional Head consolidated level, as well as per individual cost centre owners; Assist with petty cash reconciliation and disbursement of funds to Operations Staff; Responsible for the execution of SOX and other internal controls in area of responsibility also identifying areas of improvement; Active participation and implementation of decisions relating to plant cost management; Continuous Improvement on management accounting reporting process.
