Job Description

Key activities include:

  • Manage design, planning, contracting and execution of Social Investment programs that are aligned with socioeconomic development vision and mission and that contribute to Company’s objective
  • Promote partnership to ensure sustainability of the social investment interventions and to ensure a long last benefit to the communities around the project area therefore ensuring a long-lasting relationship with the neighboring communities
  • Improve communication regarding the social investment initiatives through regular stakeholder engagement and involvement of key actors
  • Ensure team members adhere to and comply with company’s HSE
  • Ensure all implementing partners to the different social investment programs/projects are aware and adhere to company’s HSE guidelines
  • Ensure that the social investment team is motivated and work together for the benefit of the LNG project’s objective
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of the social investment area in contribution to the social performance vision and mission
  • Acquire basic HSE awareness by knowing the One-MAESTRO framework, the TEPMA1 HSE & biodiversity policies, and the 12 Golden Rules
  • Comply with mandatory HSE trainings (HSE Induction and the e-learnings One MAESTRO for All, Safety Culture & Golden Rules)
  • Prepare and present safety moments whenever required (at the beginning of meetings)
  • Use of the Stop Card whenever required in order to prevent any accident or incident
  • Carry out safety visits in the place of work
  • Contribute Specific action during JMS Word Safety Day.
  • Propose an HSE improvement action for the entity
  • Identify and Report all anomalies in the workplace and making proposal for correction

 

Candidate profile

  • The position requires a bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field. A Master’s Degree in similar areas is an advantage
  • It requires a deep knowledge of the development field, including country’s specific and international best practices, with at least 10 years of experience both in a management position but also understanding of the field work environment and complexity
  • It requires a good capacity to interact with internal and external stakeholders (government, communities, donors, etc.)
  • It requires proficiency in the use of computers as well as strong report writing and presentation skills
  • It requires proficiency in English and Portuguese (speaking on of the key languages from Cabo Delgado is an advantage)
