Coca – Cola Beverages Africa has an exciting vacancy of Stock Controller at one of our Mozambique Bottlers – Matola-Gare Plant, leading producer of various flavors in Mozambique for the last 26 years. This position reports directly to the Stock Team Leader. The incumbent person will be accountable to ensure the safeguarding of company assets & inventory whilst minimizing risk, fraud & losses by ensuring compliance to stock management and control processes & procedures.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver an effective fleet and CDE strategy and business plan based on research, benchmarking, analysis, insight and logistics and fleet expertise;
- Monitor financial performance and asset costs, highlight issues and propose remedial action required;
- Monitor fleet utilization / availability and provide advice on appropriate action to improve this;
- Ensure optimal Fleet and CDE Management processes, practices and policies are in place;
- Research and recommend new technology that can benefit the Business in the purchasing for new fleet and coolers acquisitions;
- Responsible for the allocation of resources required to maintain and repair fleet & cold drink equipment;
- Ensure availability of safe, efficient and cost-effective vehicles and cold drink equipment;
- Ensure the needs of internal and external customers are promptly and efficiently met;
- Monitor and manage performance of key contractors through SLA’s, KPI’s and customer feedback. Review, analyze and approve invoices;
- Provide diagnostic quality assurance activities and technical assistance to subordinates on difficult or unusual problems;
- Identify and process vehicle abuse, accident, and incident cases; oversee the handling, collecting, and disposing of hazardous waste;
- Manage processes and practices for fueling, preventative maintenance, and vehicle accidents to reduce costs without affecting reliability and safety, retain higher remarket values, and increase vehicle availability.
Skills, Experience & Education
- Mechanical Engineering or Technical Degree or equivalent recognized qualification in Logistics;
- 5-10 years job experience, at least 2 years at supervisor or management level in this role or related field;
- Some General Business Management experience would be desirable;
- Strong track record of delivering results in Logistics role and understanding of Supply Chain Way;
- Sound understanding of Road Transport and related legislation and cooler design, efficiency and environmental conditions affecting operation;
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modelling, leadership technique, logistics methods, and coordination of people and resources;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – clear capability and credibility to influence at all levels;
- Highly developed analytical skills with excellent problem-solving capability;
- Proficiency on English and Portuguese language.
